From Alia Bhatt to Saiee Manjrekar, these are the actress who were launched by our very own Bollywood superstars.

Salman Khan, one of the most loved leading man of Bollywood for more than three decades now, has been behind the launch of a number of actress like Bhoomika Chawla, Daisy Shah and Sonakshi Sinha among others.  Let`s have a look at some of the other actresses that Salman Khan has launched in Bollywood.

Sonakshi Sinha

Although Sonakshi did not need Salman Khan to enter Bollywood because she is a popular Indian actor Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, Salman launched her. It is said that Salman Khan motivated Sonakshi Sinha to lose her weight before her debut film, Dabangg in 2010. Followed by Dabangg’s massive success, Sonakshi has been a part of Dabangg 2 and now, Dabangg 3.

Zareen Khan

When Salman Khan launched Zareen Khan, people found her to be much similar to Katrina Kaif in terms of her looks. Salman launched Zareen Khan through the 2010 epic action-drama Veer opposite himself. Although the film did not do well at the box office, Zareen’s performance and beauty mesmerised the audience.

Saiee Manjrekar

Mahesh Manjrekar`s daughter Saiee Manjrekar was seen making her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan in Dabangg 3. She plays the love interest to the younger Chulbul Pandey in the film.

Next in the real life Santa list is Karan Johar. From the top stars like Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt to the debutants Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, Karan Johar is the one to thank for their big break.

Alia Bhatt

It is no big news that by producing Student Of The Year, Karan Johar gave Bollywood three stars to watch out for – Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Alia has time and again mentioned that it was Johar’s vision that launched her in Bollywood. 

Ananya Panday

 Ananya Panday, daughter of Bollywood actor Chunky and his wife Bhavana Pandey made her debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2 opposite Tiger Shroff. 

Janhvi Kapoor

Late actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor was launched by Karan Johar with Dharma Productions’ film Dhadak. The late actress was quite close to Karan Johar and so is Janhvi now.

Now, coming to the King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan. While he has carved a niche for himself, the superstar has also launched some phenomenal talents like Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, etc.

Deepika Padukone

Debuting with Farah Khan`s movie Om Shanti Om, she was casted opposite Shah Rukh. Deepika played double role in the 2007 movie- Shantipriya and Sandy. Just like the film, its songs too became insanely popular. 

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma also debuted with Shah Rukh in Aditya Chopra`s 2008 flick Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She played the role of Tani who was married to a middle-aged man. Shah Rukh and Anushka went on to do movies like Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Jab Harry Met Sejal. The actress has now also donned producer`s hat.

Preity Zinta

The dimpled girl of Bollywood got her big break with Mani Ratnam`s 1998 movie Dil Se. She played the role of Preeti Nair, Shah Rukh`s fiancée. Though, her role was for just 20 minutes, she gained appreciation for it. She went on to work with Shah Rukh in 2003 movie Kal Ho Naa Ho for which she won Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
