The IPL season is already taking the country by storm and when it comes to cricket it is no just other sport! It`s an emotion and how we put our heart and soul in our team every time they get down on the field.

Another weird thing that has plagues the Indians during cricket are silly superstitions. Probably we would stay in a specific corner of a sofa or we would refuse to get up from the seat, wear a lucky dress while the match is on.

To make our match nights more special, munching on snacks is a must! And most of the times, we end up snacking on unhealthy store-bought snacks or more specifically chips and complain later on, about how unhealthy we have been eating lately. But what if we could easily prepare some mouth-watering snack recipes easily at home which will not only satiate our taste-buds but also lend us some nutrients?

The best thing about these munchies is they can be prepared in no time. So, these easy snack recipes can be prepared real quick once you have all the ingredients and in case you don`t, well IPL has just started and there is always a next time.

Masala French Fries

Chop the potatoes and keep them aside until needed again. Once done, put a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and heat refined oil in it. Carefully, add in the potatoes slices and deep-fry them until they get a crispy texture and golden-brown color. Make sure to transfer them on tissue to discard any excess oil. Now, add chili powder on the fried potato slices followed by roasted cumin powder, salt and black salt. Mix well, until the fries coats completely with the masala. Serve hot with any dip of your choice!

Onion Pakora:

Mix onions, green chillies, red chilli powder, coriander, lemon juice, ajwain and salt. Add besan to the mixture and slowly pour in water, to form a thickish consistency. Heat oil and pour in a spoonful of the batter at a time. Deep fry for a few minutes. Serve hot with pudina chutney.

Masala Peanut Chat

Toast and grind a mixture of cumin, coriander or red onion, coriander, unripe mangoes diced, salted peanuts, cucumber, seed. Squeeze some lime and sprinkle a generous amount of chaat masala

Chilli Cheese Corn Sandwich:

Take half of the cheese (¼ cup of grated cheese in a bowl) Add chopped capsicum, onion, green chili and coriander leaves. Add salt, pepper and chilli flakes. Mix well and keep it aside. Heat the grill pan on medium heat. While it is getting hot, Apply the butter on bread slices.

Tawa Garlic Bread

Slice the loaf of bread in slices having 0.75 inches width, halve each slice. Take 2 tbsp softened butter (butter at room temperature) in a bowl. Grate or mince 3 to 4 medium garlic directly into the butter. Mix the grated garlic very well with the butter.
