Every movement had its pioneers—— the people who threw the first bricks at the windows, the people who held the first meetings in secret alleyways, the people who first used their voices to break chains that have been there for hundreds of years. This one is about our connection with them. More specifically, this is about them leaving us a world that is better than the one they belonged to, this is about not wanting to take this world for granted, and this is also about knowing that we can do the same for the people who will be here after us. This is about them building mountains for us to stand on, and how we will build those mountains taller; this is about them giving us names that they have paid for with their lives, and how we will put those names in lights.
