Yes, it is true and one has to admit it with open eyes. But mere realization won’t help. Ponder over the figment and do your bit to save the life saving essential.

Here are the small bits you can do on daily basis to save water

Use a glass of water when you brush

We are so damn lazy in the morning that we tend to forget about the lights and taps. We keep brushing for 10 minutes with the tap water flowing. Instead, take a glass of water and use that water to rinse. This way, you’ll clean your mouth properly and won’t even waste water.

Use Half flush when required

Flush tanks store a lot of water and every time you flush you flush out nearly 3-4 litres of water Don’t waste water in such a huge quantity. Whenever you go to pee, use half flush that will cleanse the toilet and save a lot of water too.

Use used water

Yes, try to reuse water as much as possible. For instance, whenever you wash some vegetables don’t throw away the water. You can use this water for watering your plants. The water is rich in nutrients and can be helpful for your plants as well.

Wash your car once a week

Washing a car requires a lot more water than usual. Hence make a point that you don’t wash your car every day. Instead wash it once a week. And don’t religiously splash water on it, use a sponge dipped in water and then clean it. By this, you’ll be able to clean your car and won’t use too much water as well. In case you have to clean it on daily basis, clean the front mirror and be done with it.

Full load your washing machine and dishwasher

It’s a great tip for all the lazy ones. Don’t wash your clothes often. And when you do, take a big pile of clothes you have been waiting to wash and then full load your washing machine or dishwasher and then use it. Sounds easy and convenient, isn’t it?

So, don’t waste much and get all the leaking taps fixed, and pledge to save water from this day forth.
