10 annoying things mobile phone carriers should stop doing

We accept the pernicious practices of cell phone carriers as part of the price of owning a smartphone. From hidden charges and up-selling, to blocking features and preinstalling useless software, carriers do much to make the smartphone experience worse than it needs to be — and a lot more expensive. The list of carrier sins is long — so long that the 10 I’m about to bemoan don’t constitute a comprehensive list. While some carriers are certainly better than others — it might be more accurate to say some carriers are less bad than others — I don’t think there’s a carrier out there that doesn’t engage in at least a few of these pernicious practices.
