AI’s role in navigating the road to autonomous networks

At Digital Transformation Asia last week, Wesley Cheng, CTO of Huawei NAIE Domain discussed AI prediction practice alongside China Telecom, covering the work they’ve done together. Algorithm scientists need to spend a lot of time understanding business scenarios as the AI experience in telecoms is small. Huawei is cooperating with China Telecom to explore the wireless network cell anomaly detection and radio cell capacity prediction scenarios based on the NAIE. The projects incorporates big data processing and AI technologies to implement data quality control, wireless cell anomaly detection, and radio cell capacity prediction. For the seven-day capacity prediction and analysis, the project forecast effectiveness reaches 97%.
