Pakistan offers faster mobile download speeds than India

India may have a wider network footprint but mobile users in Pakistan get faster download speed, as per Ookla’s latest Speedtest report. Pakistan showed 39.7% faster mobile download speed than India in the third quarter of 2020. During the quarter, India saw a jump of 11.6% year-on-year in terms of mean download speeds over mobile, but Pakistan saw 24.1% jump during the same period. Bangladesh closely followed India for download speed,” Ookla’s María F. Valenzuela Gómez said in a blog on the company’s website. Bharti Airtel followed Vodafone Idea with a mean download speed of 13.58 Mbps, while Jio showed a mean speed of 9.71 Mbps.
