Surajkund Crafts Mela

This art festival held at the Surajkund ground is where the rural and traditional India amalgamates with the modern and urban counterpart. Combined with its foot-tapping music by folk musicians, wide-ranging art and craft from all over India, Surajkund Arts Fair should not be missed if you are in or around Delhi. Since 1981, the fair displays a fine collection of handloom items, paintings and artwork made of stone, ivory, terracotta, cane and grass. Also treat yourself to a handsome dose of musical shows in the evening, magical and acrobat performances and theatre workshops for the complete leisure of the visitors. The Surajkund Mela 2018 begun on February 2 and will continue till February 18, 2018.The state of  Uttar Pradesh has been chosen to be the Theme State. At least 20 countries and all the Indian states will be participating in the Mela.

Kala Ghoda Arts Festival

.Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is a community arts celebration event held in the precincts of the historical Kala Ghoda District of South Mumbai. Several art museums and galleries including the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Prince of Wales Museum are in close proximity. The 9-day long art event organizes numerous musical shows, street plays, dance performances, literature fests and workshops apart from displaying theatre and visual artworks of artists from all over the country. The festival is centred on a theme each year. In 2018, the theme is ‘Hara Ghoda’ that promotes a sustainable future for our planet.

Ajanta Ellora Festival

Ajanta boats of its architectural magnanimity with its artistically painted and crafted caves, pride of the religions that it propagate and the ancient times it was made in. Ajanta Ellora festival offers a very interesting and exciting way to explore centuries-old architectural heritage imbibed in the historical structures of Aurangabad. Now, Indian classical and folk dancers and instrumental and vocal musicians throng this festival to showcase their art. It is conducted by the Tourism Department of Maharashtra government.

Taj Mahotsav

The Taj Mahal is the top priority for tourists coming to India and the Indians visiting Uttar Pradesh. One of the most colourful and highly populated art festivals in India, the Taj Mahotsav celebrates the grandeur of Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World in India. This 10-day long annual festival showcases artwork from various states as well. Along with exquisite art and craft collections, one can also enjoy a fun fair and varieties of regional dishes and folk dance performances from Uttar Pradesh at Taj Mahotsav.

Goa Carnival

The Goa carnival is a great time to witness the vibrant culture of Goa, the existing colonial traditions in their happiest and most creative avatars if its scenic beaches have become too mainstream for you. Streets are filled with people wearing costumes, huge parades, musicians, street shows, etc. The best part of this festival is it is held in February immediately after the peak season subsides and becomes the best reason to visit Goa this time of the year.
