Daredevils ‘Young Guns’ Pant and Samson are making noise in the IPL for all the right reasons

The Delhi Daredevil’s young guns Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are making noise in the ongoing Indian Premier League, both have started well and has instilled a new hope in an injury-hit side.

Local boy Rishabh Pant came into the league with a reputation and he enhanced it further with brilliant knock this season, the young lad has been playing freedom and making a significant contribution whenever he has come in to bat for his hometown team. In four innings he played, Pant has scored 141 runs which include 57, 31, 15 and 38 with a strike rate of 169.87. The 19-year-old has struck more sixes (10) than fours (9) this season and his assault on Indian pacer Umesh Yadav clearly illustrated that the youngster is not influenced by reputation but goes by the see ball hit ball principle.

Likewise, Sanju Samson has also provided much-needed depth in Delhi batting line-up, he scored a brilliant century against Rising Pune Supergiant and since then, he opened and looked superb. Sanju Samson’s relaxed and composed style is beautiful to watch, he is the few batsman with almost no trigger movement, that’s why he’s rarely off-balance. Samson so far has played four matches, scoring 173 runs with a strike rate of 146.61 and his 102 against RPS was the first in this year’s Indian Premier League.

Legendary cricket Rahul Dravid who is the head of the Daredevils must be happy with the way the two youngsters are shaping up. It has been Dravid`s endeavour to thrust the youngsters into the thick of the action. Thus Samson and Pant bat higher in the order ahead of Karun Nair, Corey Anderson and Chris Morris.
