Kedar Jadhav: We have a strong chance to defend our Champions Trophy title in England

Kedar Jadhav has been among the positives for Royal Challengers Bangalore this VIVO IPL season with his fighting knocks. Nonetheless, Kedar accepts it hasn`t been enough and he can do more. Here are his thoughts on his eighth season in the tournament.

Jadhav has gathered 241 runs in his 10 games for the Royal Challengers this edition but he said "I could have done lot more. I was not able to win more games which I should for my team. For the first time in the IPL I got a long run to bat at No. 4 and it helped me score more runs. Earlier, I hardly used to get 15 to 20 balls to play."

The 32-year-old was run out thrice this edition, but he says "You can call it a judgment issue, but we all are learning and that is what I will try to do. There are three games left and I will try my best to contribute in a winning cause," said Jadhav. Our wicketkeeper batsman though is confident of the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy in England next month.

Kedar came out for team India at No. 4 in the ODI series against England early in this year, having scored 232 runs including a dynamite 120 off 76 balls at Pune to earn himself the Man-of-the-Series award. Speaking of team India and his splendid performance earlier this year, "Having won the man-of-the-series award against England in the last series, my confidence is right up there.

"The Indian team is playing very well in all three formats and I don`t think we have to do anything different. We have a strong chance to defend our Champions Trophy title in England," the player concluded.
