RCB vs KXIP: Big hitters collide at Chinnaswamy

While the Royal Challengers are not running for a place in the playoffs, KXIP need to win most of their remaining matches to keep their campaign alive in the 10th edition.

They face a led RCB who will be only hoping to play fearless with nothing to lose. But before these two powerhouses meet, here`s a look at what to expect: The toss: Chinnaswamy is nothing like last year and getting runs has become difficult in this season. The new outfield isn`t a chasing team`s best friend. This dryer outfield eliminates dew so toss isn`t a deciding factor. But if a team is not sure about the wicket, they can go the old school way - win the toss and bat first. From the KXIP dugout: Martin Guptill is back and KXIP suddenly looks a lot more dangerous side. His opening partner Hashim Amla is also in decent form. They can bat Vohra at 3, Maxwell at 4 and include Miller at 5 in place of Shaun Marsh. Saha and Axar Patel are value additions in the slog overs.

The bowling unit seems to have found the balance with Sandeep Sharma finally back in form and Natarajan living upto his expectations. Aaron is expected to play ahead of Ishant as the third seam bowling option. From the RCB dugout: With action returning to Chinnaswamy and not getting big runs, can make a return at the top along with skipper Kohli.

Mandeep had opened in the previous game but couldn`t make a lasting impact. The right hander hasn`t been among runs and RCB could bring in Harpreet in place of him to strengthen the middle order. This would allow at 4 to relax and play his natural game. has been phenomenal for RCB both with bat and ball. He will play a key role along with to curb the explosive KXIP lineup. is expected to play in place of and RCB could try to experiment by giving a game in place of . was smart in Mumbai but couldn`t finish off his overs. He too will be hoping to put up an even better performance against his former franchise.

Overall, one can expect the home side to play bold and fearlessly to entertain the home crowd in Bengaluru.
