IPL10: Karun Nair finally shows his class against RPS

Bereaved Delhi Daredevils, who are already ousted from play-offs, have finally bagged some victorious moments by registering their 6th win in IPL10.

Powered by second-in-command Karun Nair’s outstanding batting display, Delhi defeated Rising Pune Supergiant by 7 runs at Feroz Shah Stadium on Friday.

Karun Nair, who has also captained his side in the absence of regular skipper Zaheer Khan, has finally registered his presence with first but resounding half century.  The right-handed batsman scored 64 runs off 45 balls with 9 boundaries. Just as DD’s IPL journey comes to an end, Nair’s bat clicked and finally he has something to take away from IPL10.

Rajasthan-born batsman, who represents Karnataka in the domestic circuit, Nair aggregated 255 runs in 13 matches with an average of 21.25. Nair’s IPL10 voyage is not as excellent as IPL 9. The batsman had scored brilliant 357 runs in previous league. Friday’s show will definitely rejuvenate Nair’s morale.

The 25-year-old youngster has a wonderful record to his name. He is only second Indian batsman after former cricketer Virender Sehwag who slammed triple century in a test match. He stunned cricketing circle with his unbeaten 303 runs against England at the M A Chidambaram Stadium. Starting his ODI career against Zimbabwe in 2016, Nair has played just 2 matches and scored 46 runs.
