Champions Trophy: India arrive in UK, Kiwi to pose 1st hurdle

Defending champion Team India on Thursday arrived in London to participate in highly completive Champions Trophy 2017.
Virat Kohli-led side will take on New Zealand and Bangladesh in their warm-up matches at Kennington Oval, London on May 28 and May 30 respectively.

Arguably, eyes would be on India Vs Pakistan match which is scheduled to hold on June 4 in Birmingham.

Kohli will have to go through the litmus test as match against arch rival Pakistan is being considered as larger-than-life clash.

However, the skipper has claimed that he is considering the mega match just as another game. India, having won 2 Champions Trophies in 2012 and 2013, will also face off Sri Lanka and South Africa on June 08 and June 11 at Kennington Oval respectively.

Confident Kohli in a press conference said that his crew is well balanced with experienced and young talents.

Replying to question on senior players Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Kohli said he doesn’t need to tell anything to the duo as they have vast experience and they will play their natural games.

Compare to the squad that won the title in 2013, there are 6 changes in the team. The new cricketer, who got place in the current crew, are- Yuvraj Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami.

The presence of seniors Like Dhoni and Yuvraj will definitely be a boon to Kohli.
