The Kolkata Knight Riders skipper is known for speaking his mind and being vocal about issues regarding Indian Jawans, has announced that his foundation would pay for all the education expenses for 25 CRPF personnel martyred in an attack by Naxalites in Chhatisgarh’s south Sukma on Monday.

‘’I picked up newspapers and saw gut-wrenching pictures of the daughters of two CRPF men killed in the latest attacks. One was saluting her martyred father while in the other picture, the howling young woman was being consoled by her relative.’’ Said Gambhir.

Gambhir stated that he would fund the education of these children through his Gautam Gambhir Foundation and ensured that the process was already underway.

‘’The Gautam Gambhir Foundation will take care of the entire education expenses of the children of these martyrs. My team has already started work on this and I shall soon share the progress we have made.’’

Gambhir has been constantly supporting the armed forces in the past, ranging on social about jawans being manhandled by Kashmiri youths or supporting a campaign to bring back Kulbhushan Jadhav, former Indian Navy officer sentenced to death in Pakistan for alleged espionage.
