There are heated moments in sports, it part of the game and that’s one of the reasons why sports fans love watching the battle and passion that players exhume on the pitch. Similarly, the fans last night in the IPL witness a heating exchange between KKR’s in-form batsman Robin Uthappa and Sunrisers Siddarth Kaul. Robin Uthappa lost his cool in the third over of the match after getting off the mark with a boundary of Kaul’s bowling. As their path crossed, Uthappa shouldered Kaul in a bid to unnerve him. The youngster who bowled a tidy over was taken aback with the 31-year-old’s attitude.

Sunrisers Yuvraj Singh, however, was unhappy with Uthappa’s conduct and even the umpire had a word with Uthappa. When the match was interrupted by, Yuji went straight to Uthappa and had a chat with the KKR batsman. Later, Yuvraj put his hand around the Uthappa’s neck and had a friendly chat with him.

Uthappa, who has played with Yuvraj in the national side, was receptive and acknowledged his senior’s words. Even the Sunrisers skipper was not impressed with Uthappa’s actions and he tapped on the batsman’s shoulder to let him know that.
