IPL10: Caribbeans storm rages Delhi, MI’s impactful 146 runs-victory

Bereaved Delhi Daredevils, whose hope for play-offs is almost dashed out, have once again received a nightmare defeat by huge margin of 146 runs by buoyant Mumbai Indians in their den.

Daredevils on their home ground were bullied badly in all aspects be it batting or bowling on Sunday.Caribbean duo-Kieron Pollard and Lendl Simmons emerged as devastators against the host with rampant knocks-63* off 35 balls and 66 off 43 balls respectively.

With boisterous innings from Caribbean bats and valuable contribution from Parthiv Patel and Hardik Pandya , MI posted huge 212/3 to be chased.

Icing on the cake for MI was outstanding bowling show by their bowlers who bundled out Devils for a paltry 66 runs in 13.4 overs.Karn Sharma and Harbhajan Singh hurt DD most with hunting 3 batsmans each on Delhi’s turf. Known as king of Yorker, Lasith Malinga picked 2 wickets while bowling just 2 overs. In his strict bowling spell, he bowled 12 balls in which 10 were dots.

Meanwhile, DD’s batting collapsed like a house of cards. Only 3 Delhi batsman managed to success to reach double digits. Karun Nair with 21 runs from 15 balls showed a bit resistance against MI’s bowling rampant.With the outstanding victory MI cemented its place on top in points table with 18 points. Rohit Sharma led MI have registered 9 victories in 11 matches, while DD standing on 6th position with 4 winnings in 11 matches.
