KXIP vs MI Review: Punjab beat Mumbai in a high scoring thriller

 The 51 st match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab was a high scoring affair with Mumbai falling short of Kings XI Punjab’s total by seven runs. Mohit Sharma bowled one of the best final over in the tournament so far even though Pollard was at the crease and remained unbeaten.With this win, Kings XI have kept their hopes of making the playoffs alive.

Mumbai as always had a flying start to their inning as Parthiv Patel and Lendl Simmons blasted the bowlers all around the park. However, Punjab came back in the game with wickets at regular wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma and Nitish Rana had been dismissed for a cheap score. Pollard and Pandya tried their best but Punjab’s score proved to be too much in the end.

Earlier, Wriddhiman Saha’s unbeaten 93 had propelled KXIP to a mammoth score of 230 runs.There was a change in the batting order as Saha was sent to open the innings and it worked . Maxwell once again played a captain’s knock and scored  quick-fire 47 runs that included five sixes.
