The second qualifier of IPL 2017 ended with an easy victory for Mumbai Indians after their bowlers showed complete dominance during KKR innings. Mumbai rode on Karn Sharma’s four wicket-haul to beat Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. MI will now face RPS in the final at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Mumbai Indians also did not start well and were struggling at one stage having lost their top three batsman with score just 34 runs. But Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya piled up a decent partnership and one good partnership was enough to take Mumbai through in this low scoring affair. Pandya remained not out in the end and ensured MI cantered home with 5.3 overs to spare.

After a good beginning to this season, KKR lost their way towards the end of the league stage and a similar show was on display against Mumbai Indians also. Mumbai have faced Pune three times this season, but quite surprisingly, they have been on the losing side each time despite the fact that Mumbai finished at the top of the points table. It will be interesting to see if Mumbai Indians can finally get their revenge in the all important final.
