AGARTALA: Union finance minister Arun Jaitley has reportedly assured Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb , during their meeting on Thursday at New Delhi, of providing special financial assistance to help the state implement the 7th central pay commission ( CPC ) recommendations in the state. Officials said Tripura needs additional financial assistance of Rs 14,000 crore annually to implement the recommendations of the 7th central pay commission for its two lakh employees and pensioners, officials stated.Biplab also asked for central funds to help the state tide over the financial crisis besides special packages for development projects undertaken by the state government.
