Tripura woman gives birth to a healthy child in Bangladesh amid COVID 19 lockdown

AGARTALA: Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has urged Union civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu to ensure continuity of SpiceJet service to Agartala-Kolkata and Kolkata- Agartala routes keeping in mind the rush of passengers.Based on media reports regarding withdrawal of SpiceJet service from Agartala, Biplab spoke to Prabhu on Friday and explained him about the possible hardships if SpiceJet discontinues its service to Agartala. He requested Prabhu to enhance flights in Agartala-Kolkata and Kolkata-Agartala routes. As of now, Air India , SpiceJet and IndiGo operate altogether six flights in Agartala-Kolkata, Agartala-Delhi via Kolkata and Agartala-Guwahati routes.According to reports, SpiceJet has decided to suspend operations to Agartala from September 1 prompting Biplab to seek Prabhu's intervention. "Prabhu assured me of doing the needful so that air connectivity to Agartala doesn't get affected," said Deb.
