Army to celebrate ‘Parakram Parv’ in Kolkata on Saturday

KOLKATA: To highlight the courage, valour and sacrifice of the Indian Army , the Eastern Command will be celebrating ‘Parakram Parv’ at Prinsep Ghat in Kolkata on Saturday. The event at Prinsep Ghat will be open to all and will continued from 10 am till 7.30 pm. Ex-Servicemen rallies will also be held at all military stations. We want children, students and others to participate and learn more about the Army,” a senior official said. Not only do we want to enhance awareness, the event will enhance civil-military bonhomie.

There will also be special selfie and signature walls.“Such events are being organised in all state capitals under the Eastern Command such as, Kolkata, Gangtok, Guwahati, Shillong, Imphal , Aizawl, Agartala , Kohima, Itanagar and various military stations. Not only do we want to enhance awareness, the event will enhance civil-military bonhomie. Ex-Servicemen rallies will also be held at all military stations. The event at Prinsep Ghat will be open to all and will continued from 10 am till 7.30 pm. We want children, students and others to participate and learn more about the Army,” a senior official said.
