"We have filed a 455-page chargesheet before the court of the sub-divisional magistrate against 18 accused and appealed for the trial to begin," police said here on Saturday. "The investigation team submitted substantial evidence, including video footage, still photos, social media posts, media coverage, eye-witness accounts, and post-mortem and forensic reports in the chargesheet," police added.Sources said the investigating team could file an additional charge sheet since many of the accused seen in the video footage of the killing remain untraced. AGARTALA: Three months after public announcer Sukanta Chakraborty was killed by a mob, police on Friday filed a chargesheet against 18 people and sought for the trial to begin.On June 28, Chakraborty (33) was killed by a mob at Kalacherra in Sabroom on suspicion of being a child-lifter while he was at work, ironically, spreading awareness against rumours about child-lifters on social media.
