Tripura Veterinary services exempted from the purview of lockdown restrictions

All veterinary hospitals, dispensaries and veterinary first aid centres, livestock farms etc. including private veterinary clinics in Tripura shall function in the normal course and be considered as essential services. “All veterinarians and other related staff should ensure strict personal hygiene and avoid public gathering,” the notification added. In the wake of coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called for a 21-day national lockdown and apart from a few essential services other services were stopped. After various discussions, the veterinary services were exempted from the lockdown.

This was stated in a government notification issued on Wednesday. “All veterinarians and other related staff should ensure strict personal hygiene and avoid public gathering,” the notification added.
