Tripura prisoner s death CPI M demands judicial investigation

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI (M) and the and Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) has demanded judicial investigation into the incidents leading to the death of a jail inmate in Amarpur Sub Jail in TripuraThe deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Sajio Mog, who was found hanging in his cell on Wednesday morning. Refusing to take the body, the family members of the deceased have demanded a thorough investigation into the incident. However, the police later cremated the body at Amarpur. Sajio Mog was a resident of Chilachari of Karbook Subdivision in Gomoti district and had recently returned from Chennai on May 29. He was arrested by the police on June 13 in connection to an old case.
