In a shocking incident, a man committed suicide after allegedly killing his wife in Tripura. The incident has been reported from West Lembuchhera ADC Village in Kamalpur sub-division of Dhalai district. While, the husband has been identified as Sanjit Das, his wife has been identified as Saraswati Das. As per the version of Sanjits younger brother, the incident took place following a heated argument between the couple in the afternoon. After allegedly killing his wife Sanjit Das hanged himself on a rubber tree near the house. Sanjit allegedly stabbed his wife by her neck with a knife following which she died on the spot. Police officials from the Kamalpur Police Station including Officer-in-Charge Sanjeev Debbarma and Sub-Inspector Amaresh Das rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the incident and have launched an investigation. Locals have alleged that Sanjit Das was suffering from mental illness and often quarreled with his wife. The couple are left behind by their two daughters.
