Covid 19 vaccination begins 200 health workers inoculated in North Tripura

The Covid-19 vaccination drive began in North Tripura on Saturday along with the rest of the country. The vaccination drive began with the live streaming of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation regarding the mega vaccination drive. Chief medical officer Arunabha Chakraborty was among the first beneficiaries to receive the vaccine shots at Dharmanagar District Hospital in North Tripura. The vaccination drive was organized at Dharmanagar District Hospital and Kadamtala Public Health Centre, where 100 beneficiaries in each center were administered the Covid-19 vaccine. 4685 frontline workers across the North Tripura district will receive the Covid19 vaccines.

Doctors will monitor the health status of the beneficiaries for a week. Also read: 23 people die after receiving Pfizers COVID-19 vaccine in Norway They will receive the second dose of the vaccine after a gap of 28 days, in which the same procedure would be followed. 4685 frontline workers across the North Tripura district will receive the Covid19 vaccines. Around 4 lakhs of people reside in the district. The Indian government has undertaken the worlds biggest immunization programme, aimed at inoculating 3 crores health and other frontline workers in the first phase. The government plans to immunize 30 crores of people in the country in the second phase. The state received 56,500 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines.
