Acting on the complaint of the girl`s family, the police nabbed the accused. He said that the girls were sent to Khowai District Hospital for medical examination.
Two girls were allegedly gang-raped in Khowai District of Tripura and eight accused have been arrested in this connection. The police were informed about it on Tuesday.
An official of the Champahwar police station said that the two girls, along with two of their friends, had gone for a walk in Khatiyabari on Monday night, where six others were waiting. They told that the two girls reached their house around midnight and told the family that they had been raped.
The officer said that after taking action on the complaint of the girl`s family, the police nabbed the accused. He told that the girls were sent to Khowai District Hospital for medical examination and further investigation is being done in the case.
