Tripura to conduct 10th, 12th board exams only for important subjects, check details

Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, "Due to the Covid-19 situation, it is not possible to conduct the examination of all subjects of secondary and higher secondary schools in the state.

The Tripura government announced to hold class 12th and 10th board exams only for important subjects.

According to official reports, TBSE will soon conduct the examination for class 10th and 12th. Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, "Due to the Covid-19 situation, it is not possible to conduct the examination of all subjects of secondary and higher secondary schools in the state.

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education will issue notice only when the situation is normal in the state and will conduct the examination within 15 days.

"It is not possible to take the board exams in the situation, therefore, the exam for Secondary And Higher Secondary Schools will not be conducted in all subjects but in certain people as a decision has already been taken in this regard the details and the subjects will be announced shortly. The administration is ready with question papers there are even test centres all preparations have been made the board is only waiting for the situation to return to normalcy", an official said.

According to the Tripura board chairman, "English maths and science class 10th exams are to be conducted, although no such decision has been taken regarding class 12, yet we are expecting a decision on the matter in June".

Earlier in May, the Tripura board postponed the class 10 and 12 board exams, which were scheduled to begin from May 18 and 19 in view of the second wave of Covid-19. 26610 candidates for class 10th and 27,205 for class 12 will appear in the board examinations in Tripura this year.
