Tout killed near Taj’s west gate

Agra: A 40-year-old man was killed near the western gate of the Taj Mahal complex after he was allegedly thrashed by another person following a heated argument. It triggered a clash between the two,” said an eyewitness, on anonymity.Station house officer of Tajganj, Shailendar Singh, “Both men engaged in a heated argument after which Abid kicked and punched Ali. An FIR of murder under IPC section (302) has been lodged against him.” Abid fled from the spot soon after the incident. The victim died on the way to the hospital.

Agra: A 40-year-old man was killed near the western gate of the Taj Mahal complex after he was allegedly thrashed by another person following a heated argument. The victim, Shaheed Ali, who was a tout, entered into a fight with another seller named Abid, 22, after which the latter punched him several times in his chest causing his death.The incident occurred around 4.30 am, around 500 metres from the Taj’s entrance. Abid fled from the spot soon after the incident. According to sources, Ali and Abid had quarrelled with each other several times in the past few months over selling of wares.“Shaheed was trying to sell an item to a tourist when Abid, who was passing by, made some comments. It triggered a clash between the two,” said an eyewitness, on anonymity.Station house officer of Tajganj, Shailendar Singh, “Both men engaged in a heated argument after which Abid kicked and punched Ali. The victim died on the way to the hospital. Accused Abid is on the run. An FIR of murder under IPC section (302) has been lodged against him.”
