Inter-district gang auto-lifter busted, 10 two-wheelers recovered

AGRA: In an encounter, Baghwala police of Etah district busted an inter-district auto-lifter gang and nabbed five men. This gang had been involved in vehicle lifting and selling them at cheaper price after refitting the chassis and engine. Police arrested two men hailing from Fatehgarh and Noida. The police recovered 10 stolen motor-cycle from the accused men.The incident took place at Kharija canal close to Sausha village on Thursday early morning around 12:45am.Leeladhar Singh, station house officer of Baghwala said, “An input was received about a notorious gang hiding stolen bikes in forest near Kharija canal. As soon the police team reached near the forest, the accused fired on the team, but were surrounded and caught.”He said, “All the nabbed accused hailed from Baghwala and two men of the gang who are brothers in relation, have been earlier booked for vehicle theft.”The accused were identified as Pushpendar Singh Monu Yadav and Sonu Yadav Earlier on May 5, Mirhachi police of Etah in a joint operation with SWAT team conducted a raid Marhara area and recovered 17 two-wheelers which were lifted from various districts.
