Agra: In case the government doesn’t help them relocate, the acid attack survivors who run Sheroes Hangout cafe on Fatehabad road have decided to go for crowd funding to move their eatery elsewhere, after a part of it was bulldozed by the Agra Municipal Corporation (AMC) for the broadening of Fatehabad road under smart city project.After it’s front part was demolished under the AMC’s ongoing anti-encroachment drive on Wednesday, the business of Sheroes café, which is a small rented place on the roadside, has been affected. Acid attack survivors who run the cafe have requested the government to help them relocate. On Saturday, former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav took to twitter to blame the government for not heeding the plight of the acid attack survivors.Manager of the cafe, Rupa said, “The front part of the cafe was run over the municipality officials on July 11. The livelihood of eight survivors depends on Sheroes Hangout Cafe. It takes care of their medical expenses and surgeries and also helps us run our homes. We request the government to help us relocate the café.”Spokesperson of Sheroes cafe , Ketan Dixit said, “The space we have left now is limited and guests feel uncomfortable. We no longer have space for parking. The civic body has asked us to vacate the café, saying further demolition will take place in the coming days. We need to relocate as soon as possible. We will bring the matter to the notice of senior officials and request help.”An employee of the cafe, Madhu, said, “Sheroes, which provides shelter to acid attack victims, is our home.
