AGRA: Of the five state-owned power distribution companies in Uttar Pradesh , four have failed in the integrated rating for state power distribution utilities. The rest four discoms are among the bottom eight. The report defines ‘C’ grade as “very low operational and financial performance capabilities”. We demand that the chief minister take cognizance in this regard and fix responsibility of the top management of discoms for poor performance. The four major discoms that cover all the 75 districts of UP did not satisfy any of the key parameters. The top five discoms were graded A-plus — very high operational and financial performance capabilities.According to the report, the evaluation parameters cover current levels of performance as well as relative improvement from year to year.
