All participants would be given a Swachh Bharat Internship certificate on successful completion of the programme. Agra: In an attempt to bring a paradigm shift in rural sanitation, a team of Swachh Bharat interns from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised an awareness drive in Mirzapur, the university's adopted village.As part of the programme, the team visited schools and residential areas in order to spread awareness about cleanliness, personal hygiene, water conservation, afforestation, sanitation, domestic hygiene and waste management.The awareness campaign was part of a 100-hour internship programme which requires interns to visit one or more villages and conduct activities of their choice to contribute to the cause of rural sanitationAccording to AMU officials, the programme is being jointly organised by the ministries of drinking water and sanitation, human resources and development, and youth affairs and sports.
