Drunk man injures daughters with knife after assaulting wife

Agra: A drunken man on Saturday injured his two daughters with knife after the girls confronted him for assaulting their mother. After the incident, accused Indrapal ran away.Jyoti and Rashmi got knife cuts on their arms and face. The victims have been identified as Jyoti (20), Rashmi (23) and their mother Meera (45).The victims were taken to a hospital by neighbours where they were given first aid. On Saturday, he assaulted his wife after she confronted him for spending money on liquor rather than buying ration for the family. A case has been filed and the police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.The incident took place in Patiyali town of Kasganj district.

Police have booked Indrapal (47) under IPC sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means).Speaking to TOI, Hari Singh, station house officer of Patiyali said, “Indrapal is alcohol addicted man. On Saturday, he assaulted his wife after she confronted him for spending money on liquor rather than buying ration for the family. Seeing their mother being assaulted mercilessly, the two daughters intervened to save Meera, but Indrapal whipped out a knife and injured the two girls.”“Though the accused man is currently at large after the incident, but soon he will be arrested,” he added.
