Over 10 lakh imposters refrained, decline in enrolment in UP board 2019 exam

For enrolment of students in board examination, we made Aadhaar compulsory to fill a form and organised registration centre at government schools for private school students. The probe by special task force found that, imposters were brought from outside of state to appear in the examination. Including 166 under the name of Deen Dayal Upadhyay, while rest others were opened in places dominated by schedule cast and scheduled tribes. Strict measures were taken against ‘notorious’ examination center to ensure fair examination.”According to state government in 2018, a total of 66,37,018 students had registered themselves for board examination- 36,55,691 for class 10 and 29,81,327 for class 12- out of which about 75 per cent of the nearly 11 lakh students who skipped 2018 year state board examinations were from neighbouring states, and some of them were even from foreign countries like Nepal and Bangladesh.The deputy cm added, “In comparison to the previous regime in state which opened 48 schools a year, the current Yogi Adityanath government opened 205 modern schools in just one year. Including 166 under the name of Deen Dayal Upadhyay, while rest others were opened in places dominated by schedule cast and scheduled tribes.
