Strict measures were taken against ‘notorious’ examination center to ensure fair examination.” Agra: Sounding poll bugle ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma on Sunday announced to develop Fatehpur Sikri on the lines of Taj Mahal in a bid to promote tourism in the district.Addressing media on his visit to Agra Sharma said, “I have instructed the district magistrate and chief development officer to conduct a survey of Fatehpur Sikri and identify the priorities which needs to be addressed, and develop a plan to make the site a world class tourist destination.”He further said the state government has allotted Rs 442 .78 crore for the current financial year which would be utilized for Agra’s developmental works.“For Agra’s development, which includes road connectivity of rural to urban areas, tube-well boring, diary production, cattle rearing, irrigation, environment, toilets, health, affordable homes for poor, education and other welfare schemes, the government has allotted Rs 442 .78 crore.”Responding to the recent crackdown against mass cheating in UP board examination, Sharma has claimed that the government’s anti-copying measures has effectively brought down enrollment of bogus students for the 2019 board exams.“For the upcoming board examination, only 57 lakh students have enrolled in comparison to 66.37 lakh, which clearly indicates that 10.22 lakh bogus candidates have been refrained from facilitating organised cheating in exam, which is a big success.”He said the world largest state board examination will begin from February 7 and will continue for nearly two-and-a-half months.“For enrolment of students in board examination, we made Aadhaar compulsory and organised registration centre at government schools for private school students.
