A dog squad and a forensic team accompanied them.The duo’s identities were confirmed from their mobile phones as a result of which, Chhibramau (Kannauj) CO Laxmikant Prajapti was informed about the incident who also rushed to the spot.Speaking to TOI, ASP Tribhuwan Singh said, “Based on victim’s relative's written complaint, an FIR was lodged against a man, identified as Govind, who is also a resident of Tadaa village. He has been booked under IPC section 302 (murder).”“Our initial probe suggests that two were killed in a business rivalry, as both the deceased ran an illegal liquor business in Kannauj. Since the victims were strangulated to death, there is a possibility of more than one person being involved in the crime,” he said.He further added, “It’s yet not clear whether the two victims were trailed or the accused was also travelling with them, as the car’s inflated front tyre was replaced by a stepney but the hatchback was still standing on a carjack. Once the accused Govind is arrested, then only the sequence of events will become clearer.”
