Rs 1crore illumination work proposed for Janakpuri festival

Agra: The Agra Municipal Corporation (AMC) administration has prepared a proposal of over Rs 1 core for illumination ahead of the three-day Jankpuri festival starting October 6. All non-functional street lights, from water works crossing to Bhagwan talkies crossing, will be replaced with LEDs . This year, Vijay Nagar has been selected as the venue of Janakpuri festival.Municipal commissioner Arun Prakash said, “A total 10 street illumination proposals have prepared for Jankpuri area. The remaining amount will be spent on purchase and installation of LEDs at Vijay Nagar colony ring road and crossings, temples and public places in the vicinity. The tendering process will be initiated within this week.
