AGRA: A 19-year-old youth, who was sitting on the Kasganj-Bareilly track with earphones plugged in, was critically injured after he came under a speeding train. According to police, the victim was listening to music on his earphones while sitting on the tracks.Identified as Rahul Kumar, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony, Sadar area of Kasganj police jurisdiction, the victim had suffered head and leg injuries. “The incident occurred at around 11:30 am, when a Bareilly-bound passenger train was passing the area. The victim has been referred to Aligarh government hospital,” said the station house officer (SHO) of Kasganj, Ashok Kumar “Local eyewitnesses saw the victim sitting on the track with his headphones on, while a train headed towards him,” he added.In another incident, a 28-year-old youth identified as Tinku Agrawal, was found dead after being run over by a Kasganj-bound passenger train near Koyala rail crossing in Raya area of Mathura district A resident of Hathras , the victim’s body was recovered at around 9 am, while his motor-bike was found parked along the track. On Friday morning, a 30-year-old youth, identified Zahir, had also been runover in Raya by the Mathura-Kasganj passenger train. The victim survived with an amputated leg.
