Ayushman Bharat health scheme to benefit over 10 lakh families in Agra region

Katheria handed over Ayushman Bharat golden cards to six eligible families. Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) and Agra MP Ramshanker Katheria kick-started the scheme here at a function organised by the state health department. Launch ceremony of the scheme, which took place in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, was live telecast in the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University’s Khandari campus.

Katheria handed over Ayushman Bharat golden cards to six eligible families. These cards will allow people to avail cashless medical treatment at public hospitals and empanelled private facilities.Katheria said, “The government’s aim is to provide healthcare facilities to over 10 crore families covering urban and rural poor in the entire country. The scheme will benefit over 10 lakh families in Agra region and a total of 1.18 crore people in the state.”
