UP: Class three student electrocuted to death outside school

AGRA: In a gut-wrenching incident, a class three student was electrocuted to death outside her school during recess in Firozabad district.The incident took place around 12:30 pm in Tapa Khurd area of Uttar Pradesh police jurisdiction. The victim was identified as nine-year-old Suhana who was studying in the government primary school.Speaking to TOI, city education officer Shrikant Patel said, “During recess, a few children including Suhana went outside the school to play. Suhana came in contact of open wire while she was emptying her bladder.”Speaking to TOI, Ravinder Dubey, station house officer of Uttar police jurisdiction said, “The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem. We are waiting for a written complaint, once it’s filed, we will lodge an FIR and initiate appropriate action.”Suhana was the sole daughter of Gaurav, a street vendor who sells clothes on a bicycle. But unfortunately, she came in contact of a lose wire that was hanging in the colony where the school is located.”“Taking cognizance of the incident, we have written a letter to district authority to take departmental action against school principal Amita Chauhan, whose leniency and carelessness took life of a student,” he said.Several attempts were made to contact Amita Chauhan, but she did not respond to TOI's calls and text.Meanwhile, local residents alleged that girl was killed because there was no toilet in school for students and the girl went for loo in open outside the school.Udayveer, a local resident said, “The toilets of the primary school is used by school teachers and principal but are out of bound for students, forcing students to go outside the school premises for loo.
