They were booked under the Railway Act.Speaking with TOI, RPF, Agra division, senior commandant S Z Khan said, “We had been receiving an input from IRCTC about local agents using multiple IDs to book e-tatkal tickets for sleeper and AC class berths. During interrogation, the trio claimed that they were using at least 15-20 IDs together to book e-tatkal tickets and made up to Rs 2,000 margin per ticket,” added officer Khan.The drive exposed how travel agents fraudulently corner tickets and sell them at a premium while thousands of passengers queue up in vain at reservation counters or click unsuccessfully at their computers.
