BJP leader’s son shot dead outside house by six armed assailants

Agra: Tensions prevailed in Pach Bisa colony of Jattari area on Tuesday after a 15-year-old boy, son of a BJP leader, was shot dead outside his house. The matter doused off after couple of elders, who were present at the ceremony, intervened. The police have detained few persons in this matter.The incident occurred on Monday night. The victim was identified as Naman Pandit (15), son of BJP’s general secretary of Tappal zone, Vijay Pandit.The boy was shot with three bullets at a point-blank range, just couple of meters away from his home. When Naman returned home in his bike, he was waylaid by six bike-borne armed youths who shot him dead.”Meanwhile, earlier in the day Naman’s body was handed over to his family after post-mortem for cremation.

He was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony.After Naman’s death, local residents blocked the Yamuna expressway for more than an hour, and only after police intervened and gave assurances to nab the accused, the blockade was opened.Speaking to TOI, Sanjay Pandey, station house officer of Tappal said, “In the wedding ceremony, Naman had a heated argument with few boys of his age. The matter doused off after couple of elders, who were present at the ceremony, intervened. When Naman returned home in his bike, he was waylaid by six bike-borne armed youths who shot him dead.”Meanwhile, earlier in the day Naman’s body was handed over to his family after post-mortem for cremation. Naman was a student of class XII.
