To ensure sufficient water supply to the treatment plant, so that the machines there can operate properly, the Jal Sansthan has developed a 450-meter-long canal . The flow of the Yamuna has diverted as a third bridge is being built on the river.Agra needs an average of 350 million liters per day (MLD). On Friday, however, it got only 215 MLD - 95 MLD from Jeevani Mandi water works station and 120 MLD from Sikandra, the other water treatment plant in Agra.
