Yogi Adityanath government slashes urea prices

The price of a 50kg urea packet has been reduced as well.Like in other states, UP farmers have been demanding urea prices be reduced since long.“Urea is widely used in agriculture. AGRA: Farmers in Uttar Pradesh will have to pay less for urea from January 12 as the Yogi Adityanath government has decided to reduce the prices of the fertiliser.Once the new rates are implemented, a 45kg packet of urea will cost Rs266 instead of Rs299. In Agra, farmers use around 250kg urea in 1 hectare of land twice in one crop season.
