As RDay draws closer Kasganj admin issues prohibitory orders

Agra: In view of the widespread violence over Tiranga Yatra on the Republic Day last year, Kasganj district administration has invoked prohibitory orders under Section144 of the CrPC in the town area. Around 258 men have also been served personal bond of Rs 5 to 6 lakh each. It also conducted a flag march rehearsal on Friday. We have also deployed men on rooftops along with 13 light machine guns and binoculars to keep constant watch on anti-social elements who dare disrupt peace.”“We have booked 26 men under the Gunda Act who were allegedly involved in previous year’s violence. Agra: In view of the widespread violence over Tiranga Yatra on the Republic Day last year, Kasganj district administration has invoked prohibitory orders under Section144 of the CrPC in the town area. It also conducted a flag march rehearsal on Friday. The local police has also installed Light Machine Guns on rooftops to control any untoward incident.According to officials, the district has been dived into two zones which is further sub-divided into eight sectors with 85 duty points where magistrates along with cops would guard the district on the Republic Day. Two companies of PAC and RAF along with 20 inspectors, 83 sub-inspectors, 97 head constables, 60 constables and eight women constables along with one additional superintendent of police, two circle officer would be deployed on the day.Speaking to TOI, Kasganj SP Ashok Kumar said: “Every cop and district administration official deployed in the Republic Day duty across the district, would be using full riot protective gear, as we are not taking any chance. Sensitive spots have been covered with CCTV footage. We have also deployed men on rooftops along with 13 light machine guns and binoculars to keep constant watch on anti-social elements who dare disrupt peace.”“We have booked 26 men under the Gunda Act who were allegedly involved in previous year’s violence.
