UP Board exam: Edu dept yet to set up control room

The control room will have six computers and employees will be assigned duty in two shifts. Besides, a computerised control room was also required to be established to check CCTVs and voice recording facilities of the exam centers.Meanwhile, the education department officials said that the control room will be made operational from February 12. District inspector of schools (DIOS) Ravindra Kumar said, “The control room will be established at the government inter college in Shahganj by February 12 when the main exams begin. Exam centers superintendents will be required to check CCTV and voice recordings on daily basis.” However, no arrangement has been made regarding the same so far.The state government had directed the secondary education department to ensure CCTV cameras and voice recorders at exam centers to keep a tab on cheating.

Agra: Even as the UP Board exams for high school and intermediate started on February 7, the secondary education department is yet to properly implement the orders of the state government regarding cheating menace.A special computerised control room was required to be established to assess CCTV and voice recordings of the board exams.
