Four of family heading for ashes imersion, killed in accident

Agra: Ten members of a Delhi-based family heading to Kasganj’s Soron to immerse the ashes of a deceased relative, met with a road accident. The driver of the car had fallen asleep which resulted in the accident.”After the accident, injured were referred to Aligarh government hospital. The accident killed four including three women. Three of the family members were gravely injured in the accident.According to police, the accident took place at around 5:15am near Bilram under Dholna police jurisidiction after driver of the hired SUV, identified as Vicky, fell asleep and rammed into two shops.Deceased victims were identified as Bhagwati (50), resident of Basant Vihar, Bharatpur district Rajasthan, Radha Rani (45) of Agarnagar Delhi, Rajvati of Palwal, Haryana and Umesh of Kathoomar, Rajasthan. The injured were identified as Hari Singh, husband of Radha Rani, Satyendra Kumar, Lajjawati and Vicky.“Apart from the driver of the hired SUV, all the victims were relatives of Hari Singh, who had come together to immerse the ashes of Singh’s mother who died a few days ago,” said station house officer of Dholna, Ganesh Chauhan.In-charge of Bilramgate police out post, Vishnu Rawat said, “The SUV rammed into two shops before coming to a halt.
