"A Mumbai-based company, identified as Bunge India, had complained to FSDA authorities on adulterated oil being sold in the market under the company's brand. Following this, a joint operation was conducted and the unit was busted," said Saleem Khan, station house officer of Makhanpur. According to police, the FSDA team collected the oil samples from accused Deepak's house and sent it to a laboratory for examination, to ascertain the amount of adulteration. AGRA: Ahead of Holi, Food Safety and Drug Administration ( FSDA ) raided a unit in Firozabad district which was allegedly preparing adulterated refined oil, pretending to be a Mumbai-based edible oil company.The raid was conducted at a house on Indrai road of Makhanpur police jurisdiction, from where the FSDA and local police team recovered Rs 5 lakh worth of refined oil and other items, including 148 empty cans and 520 stickers of the company under whose name the adulterated oil was being sold in the market.
