Beggar detained with stolen Delhi police service pistol

AGRA: A physically-challenged beggar was detained with a stolen service pistol from Delhi police . The beggar was caught with the loaded pistol by public from Bijli Ghar area on Saturday afternoon and was handed over to Rakabganj police.According to police, a 9mm service pistol which belonged to Delhi police head constable Satyveer Singh was recovered. A Delhi police team will question the beggar and take appropriate action,” he said. On Thursday, someone stole HC Satyveer Singh’s wallet and pistol from his house. On Thursday an FIR was lodged in Laxmi Nagar police station.Speaking to TOI, Vivek Trivedi, station house officer of Rakabganj said, “Beggar was identified as Bablu (45), who is physically-challenged with one leg and arm paralysed.

During questioning he claimed, that a group of men who were having alcohol near Bijli Ghar left the weapon in his sack, after they asked him to bring a bottle of water on the pretext of giving Rs 10 for food.”“The Delhi police have been informed about the recovery of stolen pistol. On Thursday, someone stole HC Satyveer Singh’s wallet and pistol from his house. A Delhi police team will question the beggar and take appropriate action,” he said.
